Why Branch exists

Websites shouldn’t be “launch and leave”

Too many organisations invest heavily in a new website, only to watch it slowly become less effective because no one is responsible for keeping it moving forward.

I built Branch because I kept seeing the same pattern.

Organisations would spend tens of thousands on a website launch, and for a while it looked great. Then the real world kicked in. Priorities shifted. Updates were delayed. Quick fixes piled up. Performance dipped. Accessibility fell behind. The site became harder to change, harder to trust, and less effective at generating enquiries, sales, bookings, or applications.

It wasn’t anyone’s fault. In most cases, there simply wasn’t an expert in the team whose job was to lead the website long-term. No clear technical ownership. No proactive plan. No one accountable for standards, reliability, and steady improvement.

Branch exists to solve that gap.

We provide the senior technical ownership organisations need to keep their website stable, well-governed, and improving over time, not just looking good at launch.

Who you’ll work with

Built and led by Liam Mclaney

I’m Liam Mclaney, the founder of Branch. I’ve spent over 16 years developing and improving bespoke websites and platforms, and leading development teams responsible for business-critical work.

Branch is based in Chorley, Lancashire. We work with organisations across the UK and EU, supporting websites that need to be reliable, measurable, and built for long-term improvement.

Our clients value having a senior technical partner who can take ownership, speak plainly, and do the work properly.

How we work

Clear ownership and steady progress

01

Start with clarity

We get a clear view of what’s working, what isn’t, and what’s limiting results.

02

Fix the foundations

We improve what you already have where possible. If a rebuild is needed, we’ll explain why in plain terms.

03

Keep moving forward

Senior-led improvements delivered steadily over time, with clear ownership and consistent progress.

“Since working with Branch, traffic to our website has increased by 56% and paid bookings have increased by 15%, with the average value up 12%.”
